The Equinox

Cle Elum, Suncadia, WA

4 Bedroom

3064 SF

Eastlake Design, L.L.C., designed a home that features materials to evoke the old mining, mill industrial, pioneering look in both tactile and visual ways. The architecture is expressed with simple exposed large-scale beams, timber truss, braces, heavy posts & corbels, while the broad sheltering porches seamlessly connect the indoor-outdoor spaces.

This home has two full master bedrooms, two additional bedrooms and a bonus room that can double as an extra entertaining space when the barn doors are opened above the great room below – or, as extra bunk space as needed.  Also included is a unique bunk space under the rafters in the upper hallway.

On the northwest “entertainment” side of the home near the kitchen, dining and great rooms – the windows and doors are large and allow the outside in –especially those summertime sunsets in the northwest sky.  There is a large covered porch off of the dining and great room, with a fire pit area surrounded by seating. This space also takes advantage of the location away from direct southwest breezes being set back from the corner on the north side of the building.

Interior features include thoughtful application and installation of salvaged wood beams and wood products with unique aged finishes as well as steel and stone in a clean lined modern “mining industrial” approach. Unique to this home are the feature glass wine cellar and storage below the interior stairs, the upper floor rustic barn doors and railing at the bonus room over the great room and the upper floor deck that offers tremendous views of the golf course with a custom fireplace to enjoy chilly evenings and the outdoor space all winter long - details that  Northwest Roots Construction executed beautifully to truly make this home shine.
